Revitalization
About
The DowntownDC Foundation supports the revitalization of additional parks and plazas throughout downtown including McPherson Park, Indiana Plaza and others, as well as infrastructure enhancements through streetscape changes, planters, landscaping and other elements. The Foundation also supports public art, including in parks and in the New York Avenue Arts Alleé, as a meaningful way to engage the community in public spaces.
Green Spaces
Public space enhancements not only enliven an area, they help create engagement and foster community. Following the reopening of Franklin Park at 13th and K Streets NW in September 2021 and its successful management and operation by the DowntownDC BID, the Foundation in 2023 has formed a DowntownDC Parks Fund to to revitalize additional green spaces in downtown and create more engaging urban parks for our community.
